Peaks, gear and Big Plans: Exploring the Wallowas & Eagle Cap Wilderness

Stephen and I have been spending our summer in the mountains—researching routes, testing gear (the good and the not-so-good), and dreaming up what’s coming for our 2026 basecamp adventures.

A couple of weeks ago, we headed out to Eastern Oregon to explore the Wallowas and the Eagle Cap Wilderness… and wow. This place blew our minds! Endless alpine lakes, rugged peaks, wildflower-filled meadows—this area has so much to offer.

We’ve been tinkering with some fun concepts for when we launch, and I can promise you—by the time these adventures go live, they’re going to be dialed in.
