Happy one year to us!
Wowee! We’ve been keeping so busy that our one year anniversary came and went last month!
This has been an incredible year. We very much started with a blank canvas and started throwing color at it. Some has stuck, some hasn’t and it’s shaping up to be an ever-evolving thing of beauty.
We’re digesting the year and keeping what’s clicking and reformatting what isn’t.
Things that are clicking… THE COFFEE + THE BASECAMP
So that’s where we’re going to put our energy and resources moving into this next year of being in business.
THE COFFEE
We’ll continue to host our Friday Trail + Coffee Socials
We’ll continue to have Pour-Over Pop-Ups
We’ll continue to serve the community in various partner activations
What’s coming: Maybe a Big Doug glow-up? Maybe expanded offerings? We’re not sure yet. But the reality is that coffee is our passion and is at the root of all our basecamp pop-ups! We love sharing it with you out in nature!
THE BASECAMP
We’ll keep the Goat Rocks Basecamp. Only we’re going to enhance the experience a bit.
We remain available for private bookings: parties, weddings, fundraisers, photo shoots, corporate events and any outdoor gathering.
What’s coming: This is where you’ll see things take on new shape. We’ve found that because we’re trail runners, there’s a misconception that our services are limited to the trail running community. So we’ve become hyper-aware of our messaging and started a shift: We build the basecamp. You choose your adventure.
Our basecamps are an experience in nature in itself, that’s our offering. How you use our basecamps as a homebase or hub for your adventures is up to you.
This translates to our Friday Trail + Coffee Socials too. We meet up, have some coffee and people split off to do what they’re in the mood for: walking, jogging, running and even biking. Then we come back to where we started to have one last sip of coffee before heading out to our weekends.
What was previously called, “Wildwood Adventure Days” has take on a whole new transformation! Instead of dedicating the day to crewing people on the iconic Wildwood Trail, we will be your HUB no matter what the adventure is. We’ve partnered with The Skyline Sanctuary to host a “Skyline Basecamp Pop-Up” This will be located in Portland, Oregon conveniently between the north end of Forest Park and North Plains. Minutes from the Newberry Trailhead and right on the route of many iconic cycling routes The perfect place to meet your crew to shuttle a Wildwood End to End. Or maybe you and your crew have an epic gravel ride around Pumpkin Ridge. And everything in between.
Imagine a full-day basecamp with coffee, local food, activities, zip line and adventure gear demos as your hub to a day of adventures whether you’re hiking, running, biking or just enjoying the views and nature that our location provides.
There will be two dates, October 18th and November 8th. Mark your calendars and let us know if you’re interested. As more details roll out, we’ll keep you posted.
